Zhivago's International Panel is a discussion on how students learn basic cartoon and animation using an industry standard vector-based app and software on iPads and computers. Kids learn early how to use current technological tools to help stimulate and develop young artist's creative imagination.

"Teaching students to use basic graphic illustration and animation software re-enforces science, technology, engineering and math skills which the school system values above all other skills, Zhivago said.

“They come up with their own characters and create them on the iPad using geometric shapes and colors,” Zhivago said, adding that everyone from professional artists, graphic designers to Disney Pixar Studios, for example uses similar vector software that she uses to teach. “So they aren’t just learning about art they are learning how to be entrepreneurs.”

"My aim is to bring the S.T.E.M. and ARTS together as a combined force, working as a teaching consultant to help the school district bring digital art instruction into the school day curriculum." - Dr. Zhivago.

Dr. Zhivago's Innovative Vector Graphic Cartoon Design Program was launched in 2011 as a Afterschool program of 32 students ranging from 2nd grade to 6th grades.

In Winter of 2015, the program was successfully integrated as part of the Chula Vista Educational School District Art Collaboration class by Dr. Eric Banatao Principal of Eastlake Elementary and Lalaine Gonzales Perez, Principal of Salt Creek Elementary School, teaching students from Kindergarten to 6th grades.
